New to Christianity?
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
Jesus was a man with all the fullness of God within him.
He lived a life of perfect love in a world that's hurting, yet hating.

His passion for justice and love for each of us led him to take our punishment, dying on the cross for every one of us. He did this so that all wrongdoing would receive justice and all who believe in him would receive forgiveness. Through a relationship with God, who is love, we can be healed and made whole forever!

God is calling for all people everywhere to turn to him. He has chosen a day ahead when justice will come in its fullness though Jesus.

On that day, he will repay each person according to what they have done. God gave evidence of this by raising Jesus from the dead so that we could believe in him and therefore be at peace with him and enjoy fullness of life with him forever!
Is humankind bad?
As Christians, we believe that we're all born as sinful people, who are in need of God.
We believe that God created us, and that humans lived alongside God in peace, purity, and with no shame as they followed his instruction. As well as instruction, God gave them free will - a choice to either follow his ways or not, because love isn't control, and it isn't forced. However, these humans at one point decided not to follow God's instruction, which caused sin to enter into the world. From that point forward, human hearts inherently became filled with evil desires, impure thoughts, and carried shame - which broke God's heart. Because of sin entering human kind, we all inherently deserve to be punished because of the evil desires within all of us. Which is where Jesus comes in...

The book of Romans
(Chapter 5 Verses 12 to 19, New Living Translation)
"When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Yes, people sinned even before the law was given."
Who is Jesus and why did he die?
Jesus is God's one and only son. God sent him in the form of a human man, into this sinful world that is full of temptations, darkness, and suffering to show us all how to live a perfect life that honours God and honours each other. Jesus then suffered a torturous death to pay the penalty for all of the sins that we commit as humans.
Days after being crucified on a cross, Jesus rose from the dead, and said "It is finished!".
Jesus died and rose again to restore and reunite humankind's relationship with God, so that we can have an everlasting unity with God forever - this was God's original plan.
Jesus re-uniting humankind's relationship with God has means that we can be filled with God's holy spirit to be a light in the darkness whilst we are still here on earth.
When we are filled with God's holy spirit we experience peace, joy, and satisfaction in him.

The book of Romans
(Chapter 8 Verses 10 to 1, New Living Translation)

"The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you."
What happens now? Will everything be okay?
We are instructed to live out God's heavenly kingdom on earth, as it is in heaven, by being light to the world, and to share this good news with everyone, until the day comes where Jesus returns and heaven comes down to earth. When heaven re-unites with earth, everything will be reset to how it was meant to be.

The book of Revelation:
(Chapter 21. verses 3-5)

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

When Jesus returns, everyone is going to be judged for their sins, but if you are a faithful follower of Jesus, you are free from this.
To become a follower of Jesus you need to believe that Jesus is the son of God, that he died for your sins and rose from the dead. Then you need to pray to God, wholeheartedly saying sorry for all of your wrongdoings, and ask him to change your heart.
By doing this, you become a new creation in him.

The book of Romans:
(Chapter 10, verse 9 (English Standard Version)

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
