Wildwood Church, Stafford is an extended church family that normally gathers in Wildwood, Stafford.

Our vision is to build God’s church by providing Gateways to Him that show His love in our communities.

We believe that Christian faith is more than meetings - it's about Sharing God's life together. .

We started on the Wildwood estate in the 1970s and we welcome anyone, regardless of their background, or stage of Christian understanding. We are a ChristCentral church, part of Newfrontiers, members of the Evangelical Alliance, and part of Love Stafford.

the church is led by a team of three elders: Markus Weber, Graham Russell and Robin Millar.

They are responsible for leading, teaching, caring for and directing the mission of the church.

Many others exercise leadership across the church - in worship, prayer, teaching, co-ordination, outreach, trustees, youth work, children's work, crèche, midweek lifegroups, administration, and so on . . .
Our aim is that everyone who is part of the church community is cared for, helped to be a disciple of Jesus, and has opportunities to serve, to lead, and to reach out to others.

Markus and Leah
have been married since 2008 and have four children, Gideon, Hadassah, Talitha and Tirzah. They met in Markus’ home country of Germany where they both studied theology at university. In 2008 they started working for the church as youth pastors. Markus was appointed as lead elder in 2014 and works full time for the church.

Graham and Jane

live in Weeping Cross and have two grown up children. They enjoy travel when that's possible and Jane leads a number of small groups in the church and helps older people stay “active in age”.

Graham loves to see people growing and maturing in their Christian life as the word and the Spirit get to work.

Robin and Helen

have been involved with Wildwood Church from its early beginnings in the 1970s, meeting in homes.

Both born in Scotland, they have two sons - Gordon and Andrew - both married to a Rebecca (not the same one!), and have nine grandchildren. They are our church Treasurers.

our church staff

Becki
- our administrator - is the person to ask about any of the church practical matters. She works part-time at the Gateway offices and keeps us all focused. Becki and her husband Gordon also lead one of our church midweek Lifegroups.

Stephen

is our youth pastor and co-ordinates our programmes for children and young people, and looks after our gap year students. He is married to Jo and they have 3 children.
You will often find him at the Gateway with unusual game ideas!

Rob

works with Markus in the church office, helping with our teaching, comms and pastoral care.
He is married to Sarah and they have 4 adult children.
